The Zeromonitor
A Tool to Achieve Zero Killings Globally
Zeromonitor is a global, real-time system that counts and analyzes all violent deaths—and helps reduce them—so humanity can reach the Earthpeacehour: the first hour in history with zero killings.
What the counter includes
Zeromonitor counts every involuntary killing worldwide, including:
Homicides (criminal killings and interpersonal violence)
War and conflict fatalities (including militia and civilian deaths)
Terrorism-related killings
State executions and extrajudicial killings
Deaths in custody caused by abuse, violence, or criminal neglect
Systemic/institutional killings where preventable death results from deliberate policy, coercion, or sustained denial of essential life-saving aid (e.g., starvation used as a weapon, blocked medical access)
It also tracks suicides as a distinct category in the same global counter, because preventing suicide is essential to reaching a world with zero violent deaths.
What the counter excludes
Natural deaths from disease or disasters unless violence, coercion, or deliberate obstruction/neglect is a primary cause
Fully consented, ethically governed medical end-of-life decisions
Accidents without credible evidence of intent, coercion, or systemic abuse
How Zeromonitor helps achieve zero
Zeromonitor is designed for prevention, not just documentation:
Proactive alerts for escalating risk (hotspots, contagion patterns, early warning signals)
Integrated data from credible sources (media, official records, NGOs, verified citizen reports)
Guided interventions recommending proven de-escalation and protection measures
Transparency and accountability with public progress indicators toward zero
How it works (high level)
AI analysis to detect patterns and validate signals
Tamper-resistance (auditable logs, integrity controls)
Remote sensing where appropriate (e.g., conflict escalation indicators)
Secure citizen reporting with verification safeguards
Ethical oversight to protect rights, prevent misuse, and ensure responsible action
Every recorded death is a call to action. Every prevented death is measurable progress toward the Earthpeacehour—and keeping it alive.
